Environmental Obligation
At Buck Press we recognise that in pursuing our operational services, we have a duty to protect and nurture the environment. By exercising proper control over our activities, we promote the use of sustainable resources and discourage wasteful or damaging practices. We endeavour to re-use paper and paper that cannot be re-used is graded and recycled or disposed of responsibly. We comply with the Environmental Protection Agency Act of 1994 (Act 490) and the Environmental Assessment Regulations, 1999 (LI 1652). On the basis of the environmental Management Plan (EMP) submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency, we have been issued and Environmental permit No. EPA/EMP/CU 131/15/0189 to operate as a Printing Press Facility
Standards
We comply with the relevant environmental laws and regulations applicable in each country in which we operate. We work with regulatory agencies, advisers, auditors and other interested parties in the implementation of effective environmental policies. Environmental responsibility is a factor in our business decision-making. We work with our suppliers to ensure that the paper we purchase comes from certified, well-managed forests. We recognize the Forest Stewardship Council schemes (FSC) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) and always purchase paper from forests that carry Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification.
