Executive Management

He started his printing career as an apprentice in 1975 at the Akan Printing Press, one of the leading printing houses in Ghana at the time. He started his working life as a merchant, the main focus being importation and factory to factory distribution of alcoholic beverage concentrates.
He established Buck Press Limited in 1980 and became fully operational on 1st May 1987. Like many other establishments, it started ‘small’ and faced many challenges. Today, it has grown to be counted among the five leading printing houses in Ghana. Buck Press is now a fully-fledged Security Print establishment.
He also serves as a director of Soluserv (GH) Limited and De La Rue Buck Press Limited.
He served as a Board Chairman for Asokore Rural Bank from 2014 to 2020.
He is a product of University of Ghana where he acquired his Bachelor of Science degree in Administration (Accounting option). He holds a Bachelor of Law degree from MountCrest University College.
He is also a product of University of London and University of Salford (Manchester, UK) where he acquired MSC. in Finance and LLM in International Commercial Law respectively.
He is an Accountant and a Lawyer by Profession.
Functional Heads
Before joining Buck Press, Michael was the Financial Controller for BOND Savings and Loans Limited for three years having been the Head of Internal Audit for six years. Michael also has worked as the Audit Manager at Boateng, Offei and Company (BOC), a firm of chartered accountants, and a representative of Grant Thornton International in Ghana for a year.
Michael trained and worked as a chartered accountant in the U.K. and worked with numerous companies including Sentinel Housing (seven years as the Business Planning and Treasury Manager), Heathrow Hydrant Operations Company (as the Management Accountant), and at Ideal Hardware Plc (now Bell Microproducts as Financial Accountant).
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Archaeology from the University of Ghana, Legon.
He joined Buck Press in 2014 as a Senior Graphic Designer and rose through the ranks to become Supervisor of the Prepress Unit; Graphics and Computer-To-Plate (CTP) Department. Highly innovative and adept with programs in Adobe suite, such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, he has worked on major design projects spanning the local and international market using visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate customers. With excellent leadership and communication skills, he manages a team of creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designers with extensive knowledge, commitment and dedication to the industry. Prior to joining Buck Press, he worked at University Printing Press (UPK), KNUST, Kumasi. He has over 9 years professional experience in the graphic design and printing industry.
He oversees both the Private and Public sector business of the company. His due diligence, dedication, knowledge and excellent marketing skills have equipped him with the capability to relate well with customers and promote the company’s corporate image and has extensive experience in marketing.
In this capacity, his key objective is to improve efficiency across the company’s operations. This taps into his organizational skills, refined teamwork, leadership and proactiveness.
